HOTEL STEIN
- SALZBURG -
Fine Art
The scene takes place in the city of Salzburg during the festival season in August 2002. The traditional Hotel Stein on the Salzach offers only two of its five floors for overnight accommodation.
The three upper floors and the legendary rooftop café are abandoned. The photographer enjoys fool's liberty on the upper floor of the
hotel for a week. The sketching of a decadent bohemian life is translated into photography via the hustle and bustle of the city up here.
The patina of a bygone era wants to be appreciated.
In view of the future soulless renewal of the premises, the melancholy hurts all the more.
For the last time, objects of a good old beautiful past time are captured in the focus of this pictorial poetry.
